We encourage you to voice concerns, support, or inquiries on neighborhood activities. If you wish to make an announcement at a meeting: All stakeholders are welcome to attend regular committee and board meetings and speak during the Public Comment period, subject to time restraints. When you arrive at the meeting be sure to fill out and submit a speaker card in order to be heard. If you have a general comment, you will be invited to speak at the beginning of the meeting. If you have a comment on a specific agenda item, you will be invited to speak when that item comes up for discussion. If you do not wish to attend the full meeting, check the agenda posted prior to the meeting to estimate what time to arrive. If you wish to have your announcement appear on the agenda, email the Secretary and President with your request. Scroll down the page for additional information on how to contact these officers.
If you wish to express your opinion on an issue before the Council: If you have a comment on a specific agenda item, you will be invited to speak when that item comes up for discussion. If you do not wish to attend the full meeting, check the agenda posted prior to the meeting for an estimate of what time to arrive. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can email your comment to the President and Secretary and it will be read aloud at the meeting. If you wish to report an issue of public safety or nuisance: If you need to report a medical emergency or ongoing criminal activity please dial 9-1-1. Generally, any complaints about graffitti, crime, noise, and nuisance will need to be reported to the appropriate city offcials by dialing 3-1-1. However, many of these same issues are matters of GGPNC activity and we encourage you to contact the relevant committee chairs with the following information: Issues regarding parking, traffic, public transportation, and sidewalks: email info@ggpnc.org Issues regarding criminal activity, vandalism, and public safety concerns: email andrea@ggpnc.org Issues regarding Griffith Park, the L.A. If you wish to join a committee: Any member of the Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood can join a committee by requesting membership, attending two consecutive meetings, and affirming their commitment to the GGPNC Code of Civility.
If you wish to request funding or an official GGPNC endorsement: All requests for financial support and official endorsement must come to the Governing Board through a Board Member in the form of a motion. If you are unsure, which Board Member to contact with your request, email the Secretary and President. Scroll down the page for additional information on how to contact these officers. The GGPNC has extremely limited funds with which to support neighborhood causes. We recommend that you make these requests to the relevant committee or Board Representative at least 3 months in advance. Requests should include information about how the funds will be spent, how the GGPNC will be recognized for their participation, and when the funds must be dispersed in order to be effective.
