GGPNC gives stainless steel water bottles to F.O.L.A.R. volunteers

Council Gives Funds for Eastside Eco-Tour
The Council generously gave funds to sponsor the Eastside Eco-Tour, a free tour of area homes and gardens featuring sustainable elements and green projects. Tour goers can get tips and ideas on how to incorporate sustainability into their daily lives through projects like graywater systems (http://farmfeliz.org/graywater.aspx).  
The tour will be held Sunday, October 24th from noon to four. Locations and more information can be found at http://farmfeliz.org/EASTSIDEECOTOUR2010.aspx. Come out to meet your neighbors and learn about going green!

Learn about Drought-Resistant Landscaping!
LADWP presents a workshop for customers to learn about California-friendly landscaping. Workshops are one Saturday a month. The next one will be held October 2nd at 14401 Saticoy St. Van Nuys, CA 91405. Go to DWP's website for more details.


No to Gas Blowers

 

October 21st, 2008 (O’Grady)

Resolved that the Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council supports the LAMC 1997 code 112.04 banning the use of gas powered leaf blowers within 500 feet of a residence and calls upon the City to explore vigorous enforcement of this law (adopted)
